Wentworth Woodhouse

Looking very much like the film set of a gothic novel, Wentworth Woodhouse is the largest private house wedding venue in the U.K. It's even bigger than Buckingham Palace! Built in the mid 1700s, using a combination of architectural styles, you could have either a Baroque or Palladian backdrop to your marriage photos. This wedding venue in South Yorkshire has a very romantic feel to it. Picture yourself soaking up the historic atmosphere of many famous marriages before yours.

Wentworth Woodhouse itself was the inspiration for the character of Mr Darcy, which gives you an idea of the sort of Georgian romance ideals it conjures up. The interior features are very grand and include sweeping staircases, large windows and an impressively large ceremony room. There are period features and modern touches that will provide interesting backdrops to the photos I take.

Essentially, if you choose to get married at Wentworth Woodhouse, your wedding photos will reflect the opulence of the era. The beautiful grounds here are full of large, historic trees, which make for great props when creating images of the two of you together. We will take a short walk together when your guests are occupied with drinks and canapés following the ceremony. This will allow me to take some photos of you both, away from the crowd.

Please check out my Wentworth Woodhouse gallery to get a feel for this spectacular wedding venue and if you want more information about the wedding photography packages I provide, please simply get in touch. I can be reached by phone or email and I’m more than happy to arrange for us to meet and have an informal chat about your wedding photography needs. This will also be an opportunity for you to meet me and find out if we’re a good fit. I look forward to hearing from you.
